I am that kind of Curandera
I am the kind of Curandera that works with love and compassion above everything.
I am the kind of Curandera that works every day on my personal and spiritual work with practices, rituals, and exercises and does not use substances or shortcuts for learning and solving the challenges in life.
I am that kind of Curandera that believes in sharing… in teaching a person how to solve their problems and grow as human beings and as spiritual practitioners.
I am that kind of Curandera that when I get bullied, I turn around and detach from that person instead of “getting back”. I do not believe in revenge, getting even, and those kinds of negative and disrespectful ways to treat a beautiful person. Because deep inside each person there is a beautiful being that most likely has been hurt and that bullying is a desperate call for love, support, and help; my choice is to send love and compassion.
Because I am that kind of Curandera, I only surround myself with beautiful loving people. People that can show respect and love for everything and everyone.
Because I am that kind of Curandera, I live my life in love, harmony, and peace.
Curandera Ixtoii Paloma Cervantes
Ixtoii Institute of Shamanism and Curanderismo
The Curanderismo tradition of Mexico is the ancient way of bringing the body, mind, emotions, and soul back into a state of balance. Customarily, an elder Curandera(o) teaches the tradition in oral form. Curandera Ixtoii Paloma Cervantes is an elder and instructor or “Maestra” who was born and raised in Mexico in the Curanderismo tradition. She works full-time as a Curandera since 1986.
In 1998, she moved to California where she kept her practice and started to teach Mexican Shamanism or Curanderismo and other spiritual modalities. Now, not only does she teach in California, but also in other states and countries.
